Meet Jessica
Jessica:
My name is Jessica, and I’m a nurse, and I have psoriatic arthritis.
On Screen:
What’s important to you?
Jessica:
It’s important to me to be able to make jewelry, and it makes me feel relaxed. And I think it’s so neat, like, when I see someone who I don’t know and they’re wearing a pair of earrings that I made. And I’m like, oh, you thought that would make you look cute. I love it.
On Screen:
What were your symptoms?
Jessica:
I had psoriasis, it was all over my scalp. I just didn’t know that’s what it was. So there were times when I would go upstairs and I would wash my hair two or three times. Psoriatic arthritis—it was always in my feet and yet focused around pain. You wanna just lay in bed. Or, if I made it into work, I wasn’t gonna be able to pump up the stretcher. And if I wasn’t gonna be able to do this, I didn’t know what I was gonna do.
On Screen:
What treatments did you try?
Jessica:
I started with anti-inflammatories. We tried multiple things. It was trial and error, really. Then, my rheumatologist suggested HUMIRA. She would ask me what my goals were. When I started HUMIRA, my goal was no pain on that first step out of bed.
On Screen:
Do you keep a routine?
Jessica:
Routine is huge. You have to take HUMIRA every two weeks. I take it on payday. Do my injection. Takes ten seconds. And then that’s it.
On Screen:
Do you use HUMIRA resources and copay?
Jessica:
They have a great support system. Whether it’s for information, whether it’s financial support. Any of that. They have that. The savings card is great. I get my medicine for $5, and it’s amazing.
On Screen:
What can you do again with HUMIRA?
Jessica:
With HUMIRA, I can go outside when I want to. I can go on a long walk. I can go on a run. I can go kayaking. I can sit down and make jewelry and not worry that my hands are gonna hurt.
On Screen:
What’s your body of proof?
Jessica:
Hi, welcome to Jewels by Jess. (It matches perfect. Yay!) This is my body of proof.

Safety Considerations
Voice Over and On Screen:
HUMIRA can lower your ability to fight infections, including tuberculosis. Serious, sometimes fatal infections and cancers, including lymphoma, have happened, as have blood, liver, and nervous system problems, serious allergic reactions, and new or worsening heart failure. Before treatment, get tested for TB. Tell your doctor if you have been to areas where certain fungal infections are common, and if you’ve had TB, hepatitis B, are prone to infections, or have flu-like symptoms or sores. Don’t start HUMIRA if you have an infection.
