About HUMIRA®
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) can cause joint damage,
as seen on x-ray, within the first year. For many people with moderate to severe RA, HUMIRA can help slow the progression of that damage.
If you have rheumatoid arthritis, it could be causing damage to your joints and bones.
Joint damage can happen within the first 12 months of diagnosis.
That's why RA should be confronted early. Because the damage it causes can get progressively
worse over time.

Just coming to this site is a step forward. But don't stop here. Do some research. Talk to your doctor. Find out how an advanced class

Fight back. Talk to your doctor about HUMIRA.
HUMIRA is used to reduce the signs and symptoms of moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis in adults, may prevent further damage to your bones and joints, and may help your ability to perform daily activities.
More than a painkiller, HUMIRA has been shown to help relieve the pain and slow the progressive joint damage
of moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis for many patients.
Serious infections have happened in patients taking HUMIRA. These infections include
tuberculosis (TB) and infections caused by viruses, fungi, or bacteria that have
spread throughout the body. Some of these serious infections have been fatal.
Patients treated with HUMIRA also may be at risk for other serious side effects
including certain types of cancers, allergic reactions, hepatitis B virus reactivation,
nervous system problems, blood problems, heart failure, and certain immune reactions,
including a lupus-like syndrome.

HUMIRA is a TNF Blocker.
TNF (tumor necrosis factor) blockers are a class of medications that help fight both the painful symptoms and progressive joint damage
of moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis. They just might make a real difference in your fight against RA.
TNF blockers can slow down the rate at which RA causes damage to joints and bones. While HUMIRA can block the bad effects of TNF in affected areas, it can also lower the ability of the immune system to fight infections.
For many patients, HUMIRA can provide relief to painful joints. It can help fight the fatigue. And it can help slow the progressive
joint damage of moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis.
HUMIRA and methotrexate: a proven combination.
If you're taking methotrexate and still experiencing considerable pain and stiffness, ask your doctor about adding HUMIRA to your treatment.
Combining HUMIRA with methotrexate has been shown to significantly slow the destruction to joints for some patients.
Methotrexate, Kineret and some other medications used to treat rheumatoid arthritis may also lower your ability to fight infections. Make sure to tell your doctor about all medications you are taking.
