In order to help achieve relief or remission from your Crohn’s disease, it is important to discuss your symptoms with your gastroenterologist. Our Doctor Discussion Guide can help you and your doctor determine the right treatment plan for your Crohn’s.
HUMIRA is used to reduce the signs and symptoms of moderate to severe Crohn’s disease in adults who have not responded well to conventional treatments. HUMIRA is also for these adults with moderate to severe Crohn's disease who have lost response to or are unable to tolerate infliximab.
HUMIRA is taken by injection and is available by prescription only.
Make sure to tell your doctor:
How many bowel movements you have a day
If you are experiencing cramps and/or abdominal pains, and how severe they are
If your pain or discomfort has changed in recent months
If Crohn’s symptoms wake you up at night
If you take special steps to accommodate your Crohn’s symptoms, such as:
- always sit by the exit
- excuse yourself often to use the bathroom
- skip meals
- map out bathrooms
Questions you can ask your doctor:
What is remission and how can I achieve it?
How does the severity of my disease determine what kind of treatment I can use?
How do I know if I am responding well to my current treatment?
Can you tell me about other treatment options including biologics?
Am I a candidate for HUMIRA?
Print out your Discussion Guide and discuss it at your next doctor’s appointment.
