About HUMIRA®

Approved for reducing signs and symptoms in patients with active ankylosing spondylitis (AS), HUMIRA is a promising AS treatment.

HUMIRA can be effective at reducing arthritis, not just in peripheral joints, but in the spine as well. For many patients, HUMIRA can reduce the signs and symptoms of active AS, such as pain in your lower back, stiffness and fatigue.1

HUMIRA is a TNF Blocker.

HUMIRA is a medicine called a TNF (tumor necrosis factor) blocker, a type of protein that blocks the action of TNF, a substance made by your body's immune system. People with ankylosing spondylitis have too much TNF in their bodies. The extra TNF can attack normal healthy body tissue and cause inflammation especially in the tissues of your bones, cartilage, and joints. HUMIRA is a TNF blocker and can help reduce the pain and stiffness associated with AS.

HUMIRA can be taken with other medicines provided your doctor has prescribed them, or has told you it is ok to take them while you are taking HUMIRA. Be sure to talk to your doctor about any other medications you are taking.
